Request for Information - Audit Standard
Texas HERO invites stakeholder comments on, and proposals for revisions to the Texas Home Energy Audit Technical Standard by September 15, 2010.
We especially would like ot hear from active participants in the audit program as it is being implemented in the Oncor service area, but all suggestions are welcome. It is not necessary to be a program participant or a Texas HERO member to submit comments or proposals. All suggestions will be considered by Texas HERO's Existing Homes Committee and staff. Members are encouraged to solicit advice from professional colleagues. We anticipate publishing a draft revised standard by October 1 and a final revised standard by year-end.

Texas HERO wins RESNET Industry Innovation Leadership Award
At the annual RESNET® conference in Raleigh, North Carolina Texas HERO received a leadership award for "2010 Industry Innovation" for the Texas Home Energy Audit program. The Program targets the existing homes market and emphasizes the role of HERS® Raters and objective analysis in addressing a key market barrier to homeowner action - lack of credible information.
The Industry Innovation Leadership Award was announced by RESNET Executive Director Steve Baden and presented by RESNET Board President David Goldstein. Chief Operating Officer Tom Fitzpatrick accepted the award for Texas HERO and thanked Oncor for their key support of the Program, and recognized Texas HERO's past President Steve Saunders of Irving for originating the initiative.
